Where PPTCompress does better
- You choose the quality. Pick a preset, or set the resolution and JPEG quality. WeCompress compresses automatically; its page offers no quality settings.
- Preview before you commit. See the estimated new size and compare any picture before and after.
- Your file name stays yours. The compressed file keeps its name. WeCompress adds "(wecompress.com)" to file names.
- No ads. PPTCompress shows no advertising. The WeCompress page carries Google ads.
- Duplicates and unused pictures removed. In .pptx files, identical pictures are stored once and pictures the deck never shows are removed.
- Keep the pictures that matter. Untick a picture to leave it exactly as it is.

Questions
Does WeCompress keep the .ppt format?
WeCompress says it compresses without altering the file format, and so does PPTCompress.
Why does my file name end in (wecompress.com)?
WeCompress adds it to compressed files. PPTCompress leaves your file name as it was.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no sign up.
What happens to my files?
They are processed on our server and deleted within 60 minutes, along with the compressed copy. We do not look at them, keep them, or use them for anything else. Your original on your own computer is never changed; you download a new file.
How large a file can I upload?
Up to 30 MB free / 95 MB paid per file.
Will the file ever get bigger?
No. If the compressed result would not be smaller, you are told and you simply keep your original.
