Where PPTCompress does better
- You choose the quality. Pick a preset, or set the resolution and JPEG quality yourself. YouCompress says it uses the best parameters automatically; its page offers no settings.
- Preview before you commit. See the estimated new size and compare any picture before and after, before the file is written.
- Keep the pictures that matter. Untick a picture, such as a chart or a signature, to leave it exactly as it is.
- Duplicates and unused pictures removed. In .pptx files, identical pictures repeated by a template are stored once, and pictures the deck never shows are removed.
- No ads. PPTCompress shows no advertising. YouCompress pages carry Google ads.
- Never bigger than the original. The result is checked; if it is not smaller, you keep your original.

Questions
Is YouCompress or PPTCompress better for PowerPoint?
YouCompress is automatic and allows larger free files. PPTCompress lets you choose the quality, preview the result and keep specific pictures untouched.
Do both keep the PowerPoint format?
PPTCompress returns the same format you upload, including old .ppt. Check YouCompress's page for its current behaviour.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no sign up.
What happens to my files?
They are processed on our server and deleted within 60 minutes, along with the compressed copy. We do not look at them, keep them, or use them for anything else. Your original on your own computer is never changed; you download a new file.
How large a file can I upload?
Up to 30 MB free / 95 MB paid per file.
Will the file ever get bigger?
No. If the compressed result would not be smaller, you are told and you simply keep your original.
